KAHILI ADVENTIST SCHOOL
Lihue, Island of Kauai, Hawaii
We repaired buildings, painted, did electrical wiring, landscaping, and many other things.
The school has a number of cabins they rent out to tourist, this helps to pay part of the
school expense . We had the use of these cabins while we were there . All cabins have
indoor plumbing, but some do have the shower outside but with warm water. Some cabins
have space for one couple and others two couples, plus some had space for several
singles, one for ladies and one for men. We did a lot of walking. Nothing is on the flat.
While on the island we spent 2 weekends, and visited the 2 churches. We also had a couple
of half day tours to see some of the great beauty of this island
Participants paid their own airfare plus a $300 participation fee. These monies were used to
feed us, to buy materials for the projects and the tours we took.
